25 April 2021
Greetings,
Today, we made history in hosting our 2021 Provincial Effective Speaking Competition on a virtual platform. We had 17 cadets from 9 squadrons participate and they all did an exceptional job. I'd like to thank our volunteer judges that gave their time today: Mr. Dennis Beaudry, Ms. Michelle Malo, and Ms. Danielle Savage as well as our Evaluators Mr. Francois Beaudette and Ms. Joanne Lussier-Demers. Gratitude is also due to several other volunteers that made this event possible: Ms. Jermaine Chu, Capt. Dan Colosie, Mrs. Lise Malo and Mrs. Audrey Wittebolle.
For those of you that watched the event, thank you for supporting the superb performances of our competitors:
Congratulations all! Pins and evaluation sheets will be mailed to each competitor.
I take great pride in announcing the Air Cadets that placed in the top three spots:
I am very pleased that these cadets will
receive medals and cheques of $300, $200 and $100 respectively.

The 2020 Hubbell Awards Presentations were made virtually on Wednesday Septemper 9. The Hubbell Awards Incorporated is a small charity whose
mission is to provide scholarships to Cadets currently enrolled in a
Manitoba unit who will continue their education at a civilian technical
institute, college or university.
The program currently provides ten
$1,100.00 scholarships. The distribution of the scholarships is based
upon the number of youth enrolled in each element and the number who
qualify for post secondary education. As the Trust Fund continues to
